The History of Carl's Jr. begins in Los Angeles in 1941, when Carl Karcher, who was a truck driver at the time, and his wife Margaret bought a hot dog truck. At first, they sold tamales, hot dogs and hot dogs for around $2 each and soft drinks for around $1.
