Another Broken EggCafe is one of the fastest growing brands in the daytime segment.
An example of who we are and what we believe in
It all began in 1996 in a quaint turn-of-the-century summer home on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Old Mandeville, Louisiana. Ron Green, our founder, opened his first "Cracked Egg Cafe" in a charming French countryside setting with friendly, approachable service and a menu of exceptional dishes. The overwhelming customer response to this first location led to a second restaurant in Destin, Florida two years later, which would become known as "Another Broken Egg Cafe". Today, the company has more than 70 coffee shops in 14 states and continues to grow into new and existing markets across the United States.
For over 20 years, the Another Broken Egg Cafe concept has enjoyed solid growth, fueled by strong repeat visits from our loyal customers and our unique and exceptional menu offerings. Combined with our experienced and professional support system, you have the makings of a great franchise opportunity. In 2017 we introduced a new menu which continues to receive high marks and comments from our customers.
The tremendous growth and excitement surrounding Another Broken Egg Cafe has garnered a lot of attention from both customers and the restaurant industry. This included a successful recapitalization of the company by The Beekman Group, a leading private equity firm in New York. This October 2017 purchase further expands Beekman's ownership portfolio of restaurant businesses. Another Broken Egg Cafe is poised to bring our award-winning Southern-inspired breakfast, brunch and lunch menu to even more guests for years to come.
Food is our passion.
When you start with the best ingredients, the following dishes are fresh and creative. They're often described as delicious twists on classic dishes and new favorites worthy of food blogs and Instagram photos. This passion for distinctive flavors is what makes Another Broken Egg Cafe so unique. It has been our passion to create exceptional breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes that are 'desirable' delicious with an artisanal twist.

This is one of those places that at first glance looks like any other chain restaurant. It is not. The menu is full of interesting dishes and you'll probably want to try everything, which means you'll end up with a lot more food on your table than you can possibly eat. This includes a healthy amount of French Creole-inspired food. I, for one, LOVE shrimp and grits. What an intense taste! Me and my girlfriend love this place...

So delicious! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The waiters will definitely serve you during the meal. I like to come here for brunch. Tortillas are like no other. The fresh orange juice is the best... I would definitely recommend this place!
-Maria Q. - Yelp review
The best place in Burbank for brunch! ! ! ! The food is fantastic, the staff are friendly and know the menu very well. Everything is super fresh, none of that fake chain restaurant stuff. I come here as often as I can when in town. The owner Danny is a sweetheart and the bar staff Jackie and Paul are the best. They make you feel like part of the family. The food, let alone, needs no explanationBOMB.com!!!

How much does it cost to build a cafe?Open or Close
The average cost of improving rental properties is between $470,000 and $605,000 and the estimated total investment is between $847,100 and $1,226,000. These costs vary depending on the availability and prices of labor and materials and whether certain costs are borne by the owner. There are times when second generation land becomes available that has the potential to reduce a percentage of construction costs. Construction costs may also be partially offset by owner improvement funds. The cost of land, if purchased, and on-site labor will vary depending on the location and condition of the property. We are unable to estimate the cost of acquiring the land or labor which varies significantly from location to location. See Item 7 of our Franchise Disclosure Document for more information.

What do you look for in a franchise candidate?Open or Close
We seek partnerships with industry professionals and groups who understand the restaurant franchise model. Our goal is to license at least three units or preferably an entire market for one unit. For smaller markets we consider awarding an individual contract if our brand fits and meets the needs of the location.
-
What type of market are you considering expanding into? Open or closed
Our target market averages 100,000 people within a five mile radius and has a household income of over 90,000. Ideally, the markets would also have strong daytime populations, large shopping areas and prime offices.

-
What are the development fees, royalties and advertising fees? Open or closed
The initial franchise fee for each coffee shop to be developed is $40,000. When signing the development contract, the fee for the first coffee and a deposit of 50% for each additional coffee in the development contract must be paid upon signing. -
How difficult is it to hire and retain employees and managers?Open or Close
Employees and managers love our opening hours. Our single shift operation allows them to enjoy family time or take on a second job to support the family if needed. We believe recruiting and retaining top talent is a little easier than at other casual restaurants.
-
What kind of training do you offer? Open or closed
For a new café we allow up to 4 people to attend a 6 week training course in one of our company cafés. When it comes time to open your coffee shop, we'll send you a certified 5-person training team for 20 days to make sure you get off to a good start.
